Christmas Fair
Saint Joseph's Christmas Fair
On the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, St Joseph's rectory is transformed into a warm and welcoming haven during the Christmas fair, filled with the unmistakable smells of the season—spiced baking, fresh coffee, and hints of pine. Every room buzzes with friendly conversation as parishioners greet old and new friends. Laughter is shared over handmade crafts and festive treats. Volunteers work side by side, setting tables, serving guests, and ensuring everyone feels at home. It is a beautiful expression of community in action: people of all ages coming together, not just to celebrate Christmas, but to live its spirit of generosity, hospitality, and shared joy.
We offer fresh and imitation greens on the front porch, homemade baked goods, and a variety of treats on the side porch. Inside the house, handcrafted items of all sorts are offered in one room; in another room, our famous, festive basket raffle fills the expansive dining room table and every corner of the room. Awaiting in the kitchen are generously prepared take-out meals, with dishes like chili, lasagne, and macaroni and cheese, all prepared by members of the church.
As you leave, you may choose to warm-up with a cup of hot chocolate, plain, with marshmallows, or with a touch of mint.
Our core group is always looking for extra support; new, fresh ideas; or just friends to join in the fun with this labor of love.
