Religious Education or Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
The family is the child’s first teacher. The goal of religious education for children is to partner with the family in providing knowledge about our faith and an experience of life in the Christian community. Emphasis is placed on the development of a personal relationship with Christ. The sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist are generally received for the first time in the second grade. Eighth and Ninth grades are the preparation period for the sacrament of Confirmation.
